Installation Issue

On XAMPP?

I would guess he needs to set the user table for this database.

Failing that just hit config.php and put in mysql_error echos to see what happens?

Happy to give it a try PAT just a little more guidance on what you had in mind?

line 64 of config.php is $row = db_query_one("SELECT * FROM {$xerte_toolkits_site->database_table_prefix}sitedetails");

After that put

echo mysql_errno() . "<br />";
echo mysql_error() . "<br />";
die();

then go to http://localhost/xertetoolkits/config.php

This gives the error:

Sorry, the system cannot connect to the database at present. The mysql error is Access denied for user 'scsltdco_TESTUSE'@'localhost' to database 'scsltdco_xerte'

Its a bit odd as on the server I have run Wordpress
Limesurvey
all of which use SQl databases
with local host

I would like you to check the priviliges of the scsltdco_xerte database:

Could you please go to phpmyadmin
1. Select the scsltdco_xerte database
2. Select 'Priviliges' tab

There you should have an entry for 'scsltdco_TESTUSE' on host localhost. The wildcard '%' will NOT be enough, it has to be localhost.

In the server set up I am running no specific Privileges tab
