Installation Issue

I am getting this error after the basic check,

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /xerte/setup/file_system_test.php on this server.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

Anyone any thoughts on this as I do want to try to get this working.

Sorry to reply so late, we try to reply quicker than this.

What kind of a system are you installing on? The folder you are trying to access is somehow inaccessible.

normal appache server
its in the WWW folder under separate directory for xerte.
all initial checks PHP and SQL are ok

Linux? Windows? MacOS?

What version of XOT are you trying to install? You could try to set $development=true on line 26 of config.php, to see whther you get php errors on file_system_test.php.

I am not sure I can follow when you get the 500 internal server error.
