To get the development tools of the editor window, you have to select the address bar of the editor windows first, and then press F12 (otherwise the F12 is sent to the flash editor).

Got it. Sorry guys. Was clicking in the wrong place. I see the save.php file now. Just creating a new LO as there was too much content in the one I was working on. I'll post the filedata it a minute

Thanks Tom.

You've worked with the editor and flash for a while right? Can you think of any reason that the specific string asfunction: would prevent the save or would be blocked?

John

1. filedata:
<learningObject language="en-GB" name="Page Link Test" navigation="Linear" textSize="12" displayMode="default"> <text linkID="PG1382559408071" name="page 1"><![CDATA[asfunction:]]></text> </learningObject>
see attached for more details and screen shots. It seems to be registering the changes in the save.php but not showing them in the preview. also if I close the editor window all changes are lost.

John, no I haven't seen anything like this. We've seen characters go missing, or chunks of text removed after certain charcters have been used, but then in all installations.

Curious if this can have anything to do with specific php settings. Also, what is in the preview.xml or data.xml file after you save the LO with the 'tekst tekst text' after the asfunction:. I'd like to know whther this happens on save or when reading in the file again.

Is this particular php version trying to interpret the colon as a namespace separator? (that's the only thing I can find if I google this).

It seems that the dump of filedata suggests that the issue is in the save.php function and not in Flash
