Hi John,
The version we are using is 2.0 (svn r1028). Initially it was the Youtube embed page type. Hyperlinks will work but when we try to use a pagelink the LO won't save updates. I have also tested it with plain text page type and that wouldn't work either. I am using Firefox (Tested it with IE10 also). The screenshot shows the pagelink code (the actual text of the links was already in there and saved). After converting the text to pagelinks I clicked on publish and then play. The preview shows the text (was there already) but the pagelinks hadn't applied. I then downloaded the preview xml attached. When I close the editor window and open it again the pagelink code is gone. We tested a glossary term on this page and it worked fine.
We could avoid having to use pagelinks if we could embed more than one video on a page (or idealy a youtube playlist). Any ideas in this regard would be great either?
Thanks again for the help.
Karl

Hi Karl, sorry this one got away from me...

If you take out one of the page links (just delete the whole section) and then in the other one take out all the stuff between the href quotes to just leave it as href="" and try to save...

No problem. Thanks for getting back to me.
Yeah, it saves the <a href="">This page</a> but will not save <a href="asfunction:_level0.engine.rootIcon.pageLink,PG1381168464016">This page</a> and seems to save regular hyperlinks fine also.

Hmm strange, haven't seen anything like that...

I suppose the next to do it to start with the full page like and start chopping out sections from the end up to and including a punctuation mark until it saves...

so take off ,PG1381168464016 and then .pageLink until you find a bit that it doesn't like... it must be the ,.: or _ that is causing issue...

OK, good idea. It appears to be the ":" when following "asfunction"
Basically, the three bits of code immediately below were all accepted and allowed the LO to be updated:
<a href="_level0.engine.rootIcon.pageLink,PG1381168464016">This page</a>
<a href="<a href="asfunction">This page</a>
<a href=":_level0.engine.rootIcon.pageLink,PG1381168464016">This page</a>

but once the code below was in the editor it would not save any further changes within that LO.
<a href="<a href="asfunction:">This page</a>
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Karl

Hi Karl,

One of those bits of code is not formed correctly which could be causing the issue...

<a href="<a href="asfunction">This page</a>

should be

<a href="asfunction:">This page</a>

I have also tried on a later build and can't reproduce (see screenshot) so it may be that something has become corrupt in your files and you need to upgrade...
