Media > Synched Video
This page allows for points on a video to be synched with sections of text. The text can either build up as the video progresses (as in the demo below), or a new section of text can replace the previous one.
The Transcript Reader page type produces similar effects for audio.

Core Properties

| Pause on Synch Points | Pauses the video at synch points, so the learner has to restart it each time {True/False} | Drop-down | This may be useful if you want to give to time to reflect and possibly re-read the text. |
| Erase on Synch Points | At synch points “True” replaces the previous section of text with the the next text {True/False}, as an alternative to the text building up as the video progresses. | Drop-down | This effectively creates a slideshow synched with the video. |

There are no Language Options for this page type.
After you have created the settings and added the link to the video file, you need to add the Synch Points and the text that appears at each Synch Point. Click on New Synch Point.
Synch Point: Core Properties

| Synch Point | Add the Synch Point as the number of seconds into the video . For example, to synch at 2 minutes 15 seconds into the video, enter “135”. | Number |
You can also add an Image to the synched text, as an Optional Property.
