HI Ron
I downloaded the xerte toolkit from www.xerte.org.uk/index.php?option=com_jd...gory&catid=3&lang=en
It's version 2.1 - is that the one I should be using?
I think I will start over again and see if that resolves the issues. We don't have a custom moodle login page.

thanks for all your help and advice.

Regards - Jayne

Hi Ron - just to update I completely re-installed a couple of times with both version 2 and 2.1, the logout button works normally with guest and db authentication however when I integrate with moodle it hangs when I click logout. The logout button also works when I access the management.php file. I have also tested on multiple browsers. I'm not sure how to move forward now. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Jayne

Hi Jayne
that's strange! So just to clarify with Moodle authentication enabled everything works correctly apart from logout? e.g. you're able to create and view new projects, add images etc and you see your first name and last name top right of the workspace?

What browser are you using? If not IE does the same thing happen in IE and in all browsers?

I use and look after a number of installations which are authenticated via Moodle in this way and all work as expected when clicking logout. I'll check the same 2.1 download in case a bug as crept in but that seems unlikely. BTW 2.1 is definitely what you want not 2.0.

What do you have entered as the integration path in the management page? It should be something like /pathtoyourmoodle/config.php

Hi Jayne
please try the following and report back.
1. Make a backup copy of your existing index.php inside your xerte directory or rename it index_backup.php
2. Rename the attached index.txt to index.php and put that in place in your xerte directory.
3. Close all browser windows and try logging in then logout.
Does that fix the logout issue?

Hi Ron - I did as you stated and it worked. Thanks so much.

Is there anything I need to be aware of.

Thanks and regards
