Translate XOT

Hello, where i can find the english language pack?
I need this to translate to portuguese, and i don't understand
the languages available on the site.

We like too much of XOT and we are eager to contribute.

Thank you for your offer to translate Xert/XOT into Portuguese!
There are a few steps you have to take to translate XOT.
If you only want to create Portuguese learning objects, step 1 and 2 will be enough.
If you want the wizard and all the default sentences and words translate, you need to take step 3 as well.

Please look at the information below.

1. Runtime engine
The runtime engine (XMLEngine.swf, the current flash engine) and the new html 5 player get their language strings from a set of xml files found in the language folder of your installation. These files are called engine_en-GB.xml.
Please send it back after translating so we can put it on github.

2. Wizard
The flash template wizard (used to create/edit learning objects in XOT) gets the language definition of the messages and the menus also from a set of xml files called wizard_en-GB,xml. You also can find these in the languages folder of your own installation. Please send it back after translation so we can put it on github.

3. The Nottingham template in XOT
To translate most of the words and phrases from XOT, there is a translation tool, xertetrans.xerte.org.uk .
If you want this, let us know then we send you a username and password.

Can you work with this or do you need help. I don't know your ICT skills. It's no problem to help you with all steps.

Hello Inge, i'm working on these files who you quoted.
I downloaded the spanish pack to understand the files structure and override with the translated files.
I zip it and sent to the XOT. This works, but some words of the wizard did not work properly.
I noticed that some files are not created correctly.

Now, i will follow these instructions.

I will sent you an email with a login for XerteTrans seperatly from this forum. Most of the words and phrases for the Nottingham template and the site template should be translated with that tool.
