interactivity_answer_x_of_y

Interactivity > Answer X of Y

Learners are asked to list a required number of items from a longer list of possible answers, e.g. “Name 5 of the 7 noble gases in the periodic table.” Variations (e.g. synonyms, abbreviated forms, variations in spelling) can be included, for each item, as acceptable answers.

Top Level: Core Properties

Property Description Type Additional information
Page Title Text that appears in header of published page Text
Instruction Content that appears at the top of the page Text+ (Toolbar) Use this to give the context or instructions for the task. Other content (e.g. images, audio, video) can be embedded here.
Question Enter a prompt for the task Text+ (Toolbar) (e.g. “Name 5 noble gases listed in the periodic table”
Align Text Puts all the text in either the left or right panel {Left/Right} Text+ (Toolbar)
Panel Width Dimension of the right panel (gapped text). Choose from {Small/Medium/Large/Full}. Full puts the Introductory Text above the gapped text. Drop down
Number of Answers The number of answer fields shown on the page. Specify a number or enter * to create an answer field for every possible answer. Drop down Default: “ * ”, for example, if you list 7 items but you only require learners to enter 5 of them, enter “ 5 ” here.
Case Sensitive Treat answers as case sensitive Tick box Default: Checked

Add New Answer to list the first acceptable answer (and any acceptable variations of the at answer).

Label The Label is for the author, and only appears in the authoring interface Text Default: “Answer” (this can be left as is)
Answer Enter here your first correct answer and any acceptable variations. Text The default delimiter for variations is “,” for example “Manchester United, manchester united, Man Utd, man utd”

There are no Optional Properties or Language Options for Answers.

This page is very useful if you are creating an escape room task and you need to set a password. You set up the page so there is one answer option, and set the hints at a high number.
