Interactivity > Documentation > Nested Page > New Text Area

This Documentation page feature, at the Nested Page level, adds a multiple line text entry area into which the learner can type a response. The text entry area can be expanded by the learner, using a grab handle in the bottom-right corner.

(In contrast, New Text Box adds a one-line text entry box, which cannot be expanded by the learner).

There is an examples of a Text Area on Nested Page 2 of this demo. If you complete all the Nested Pages, you can then download the content as a Word document to assess how it displays.

Further information

By using the Placeholder Text optional property you can create a task similar to the Modify Exercise page type in Interactivity, for example for an error correction task. There is no built-in feedback, but this could be provided in another way, for example in an answer key on the next Nested Page.
