Xerte Assistants
Xerte Assistants are built-in optional tools designed to improve productivity and speed up content creation.
They are available in the Assistants tab in the right-hand panel of each page. Unlike optional properties, assistants open in a lightbox window and are not added to the page itself.
Currently, three assistants are available.

| Admin setup | The AI Assistant and Image Search and Help Tool require administrator setup before they can be used. In most cases, this includes configuring API keys or connecting supported external services. |
| AI permissions | Any feature that uses AI requires the user to have the AI User role. Without this role, AI-based tools may be hidden or only partially available. |
| AI Assistant visibility | If the AI Assistant is not configured or the user does not have the required role, it will not be visible. |
| Image Search and Help Tool visibility | If the user does not have the correct role to access AI features, they will still see the non-AI parts of the Image Search and Help Tool, where available. |
| Quick Fill availability | The Quick Fill Tool does not use AI and is available by default on supported pages. |

Administrator Information
Assistant features come with their own role, as well as various ways to tweak base settings, which vendors are available, and which models/options are used per vendor. You can find more about that here:

Notes
- Assistants are intended to reduce repetitive manual work.
- Availability may depend on page type, administrator configuration, and user permissions. If you belive you should or shouldn't be seeing some of the assistant properties, please contact the administrator of your Xerte installation.
Supported Pages by Assistant
AI Assistant
AI Assistants are available for about half of all Xerte pages, and serve a generative purpose. AI Assistants may only be seen when the user has the appropriate role, and the admin has enabled the AI features on the installation.
Quick Fill Tool
Pages that support Quick Fill generally include pages with a significant number of available sub-pages.
Image Search and Help Tool
The Image Search and Help Tool is available on all pages and subpages which support including an image of any kind.
