It's on an internal server, so this isn't going to help... xerte2.beaumontcollege.org/xertetoolkits...edia/disclosure2.mp4

file is 903 KB
No console errors :-(

Ok, it would appear that .flv's do not readily convert to .mp4
I fortunately found the originals and solved the problem, for 2 of the videos at least, the 3rd still won't run but I assume that's down to file size - it is only just over 2MB, however.
Do we know what the maximum file size is for video??

Thanks for your help
Vicky

The max upload size is governed by your php.ini file. As far as I know there are no problems converting between flv and mp4 with format factory.

Depends what the flv has been created by in my experience... i've seen ones that won't convert...

Not sure about Format Factory and the MOOV ataom (mp4 index) but if it has a "Web Optimised" or "Fast Start" option or something then select that as that usually makes sure the MOOV is at the start...

Personally I use Miro Video Converter for .mp4 (It's Drag and Drop and puts the MOOV at the start withough any faffing - worth a try).

Hi there,

I'm having a similar issue.

1) Created an m4v file in iMovie and used Handbrake to convert to mp4.
2) Uploaded to Xerte (2.0 (svn r995)) in a Multiple Perspectives page
3) Previewing in Chrome gives the video player, when I hit play the loading circles spin, but no video

Any thoughts?

Mark
