Dear all

I'm sure you are sick of seeing my name, but I'm afraid I have an issue that doesn't appear on the forum--I'll try to explain as succinctly as possible...

One user gets the 'The project data has not loaded.' message when trying to preview any of her projects created after a certain date (24 Aug). If she tries to edit, she gets a blank editing screen, i.e. no 'Add', 'Copy', 'Delete', 'Preview' or 'Publish' buttons (see attached screen shots). She can edit projects that she created before the 24th, and a copy of an earlier project made on the 25th works fine.

A bit more info:
- I get the same Preview and Edit screens when logged into the Admin site.

- No other user has this problem, but no one was creating projects on this date either.

- Our web team found that at least some of the files had not been saved (e.g. /USER-FILES/270-tkcl23-mediaInteractions/preview.xml?t=1472207491331)

- The user seemed to be using a number of different templates.

- There is a chance that the user wasn't clicking Publish (although this is less likely since the warning message now appears).

My guess is that it might be a server/network issue at this end, but I wanted to check with the experts first!

Many thanks

Candace

What version of xot are you using, and could you send a directory listing of what is in the folder that starts with USER-FILES/281- on the server.

We're on v3 (we updated on 17 June this year).

The directory looks like this:

.
├── data.xml
└── media
└── readme.txt

Thanks very much

Candace

She tried on a PC with IE and on a MacBook with Safari. It was the latter she was using when the strange behaviour started (she was not on the local network, if that makes a difference).

I tried via the Admin site today (PC with Chrome), but got the same issues.

Then I believe the data.xml is corrupt. There should be a preview.xml as well if the projects has been edited at least once.
