Error when clicking Play or Publish

I'm brand new to xerte so forgive me if I'm missing something completely obvious. I've managed to get an instance of XOT working on my test site but whenever I create a new project and creating and adding to my LO, it wont then let me play or publish what I create. It gives me this rather unhelpful error message of "error".


Also, I don't know if its related but it seems to be stuck logged in as guest user and can't logout (/management seems to allow me to log in and works fine though)

Could you sent an export zip?

Hi Ronald,

I've tried all of the templates and most of the pages in them and its happening on all of them. As for an export.zip, do you mean an zip of the LO (I've attached that)? It always seems to come out blank as nothing seems to get saved to my LO after making changes to it. I think the actual issue is that none of the pages seem to save because if I then close the LO and click play from the main page as well, it says "This project does not contain any pages"

Are you able to check the error lof of your site?

If so, let us know if theer are any erroro in there when you press play.

I have the same issue. Installed on Linux. Error code is 500 ie server side. error persists on 3.0 as well as on 3.1 XOT installs.

The error message output on Firefox fire bug:

"POST http://[strike]xxx[/strike].com/lint/editor/upload.php 500 Internal Server Error"

Tried many options to fix, but in vain.

Please do no continue on an issue where the error meesage or the issue is different. You don not try to play or publish an LO. You try to upload media from the editor. I've moved the problem to its own thread.
