Preview doesn't work

Hi everyone,

We've just installed Xerte 2 on a web server. Everything went fine except edit/preview. It isn't showing anything, or at most one strange phrase "pasa por aquí 8" that we didn't put there. And it's in Spanish, and although we're spanish speakers the template and the server is configured as English yet. And the preview ignores the Display Mode; if we set it as full screen, it continues showing a window of the same middle size.

We looked for this problem on the Installation Guide, but we didn't find a solution. We didn't set a .htaccess file, then it is configured as false on XOT server. The entire folder and subfolders for XOT server is property of the web server user.

My IT collegue here thinks that is an issue related with PHP features and libraries, specifically about loading xml entities. He thinks that problem is loading external entities is disabled, and as we have PHP 5.2.6, we cannot enable it (a feature of PHP 5.2.11). Is he right?

How can we fix this problem?

We solved a similar issue just now. Please place the contents of the following file in website_code/php. This fix will be committed to the codebase later today.

Actually, I have to wait until the person who is using Xerte tests it, because it still shows the phrase "pasa por aquí 8" that I think is not part of that she created. But the preview executes, showing the slides, pictures... so it seems to work fine.
