Thanks Ron,

I thought Moodle logins were thru LDAP and, like I said, de don't do LDAP.
Also we are moveing towards using the Gmail for Education as our VLE environment and I cannot see us using many logins. It is hard enough to have tutors using the Intranet and corporate emails as it is now, never mind adding more layers of complication into the fold.
I will have to opt for not sleeping some days to try and link Xerte with our Google Sites.

Best wishes,

Marta

Hi
Moodle has many built-in and additional authentication options including ways to do this via google accounts. My point was you can install Moodle, use whatever authentication to that you wish and once logged into Moodle the integration with xerte provides access to Xerte rather than trying to code that authentication in Xerte itself.

Hi Ron,

I did install Moodle same way I installed Xerte but unlike Xerte my Moodle install does not seem to have been successful. I'm still trying to figure why but alas I have no time right now.
Being the only person to deal with all IT for 3 sites, 500+ users, servers, switches, and even having to, at times, point out to staff where the power button on equipment is, leaves me with precious little time for anything else. Still have to migrate 5 servers from Win Server 2003 in the next 43 days!
Joy of joys!
:-)

Regards,

Marta
