Installation with sqlite

For strictly local development, I'd like to set up Xerte on my Mac using only sqlite. I find hints that this is possible, but no options in the setup procedure.
Line 75 in config.php hints at UNcommenting lines 79-80 and commenting line 82. I still get the MySQL Database page next, though, and the following page throws "Call to a member function execute() on boolean in /www/sites/xerte/wwwroot/website_code/php/database_library.php on line 128".
Any guidance much appreciated!
