Hi,

I know the latest installation documentation states that the latest version of Xerte needs PHP 4.3 or later but I was wondering if anyone has any idea how well versions of Xerte run on the very latest versions of PHP as in PHP 7?

The reason I ask is because our server admins are taking a firm stance with PHP applications for security reasons and as such PHP will need to updated regularly.

What versions of PHP are people running Xerte (and which version of Xerte) on these days?

Thanks in advance

Craig

Certainly works fine on 5.5x, 5.6x etc.
Don't think I have any installations running on PHP 7 yet but I know the latest xampp includes PHP 7 so you could test on that to be sure.

Thanks Ron,

That's reassuring to know. I realise that this may be a difficult question to answer but looking into the future... if there was ever a release of PHP which was to break Xerte, is there any dedicated SLA-like commitment in place at all dedicated to the release of updates/fixes etc.?

Incoming security policies would dictate that we would avoid applications that didn't have anything like this in place so I'm just curious to know how much (if any) dedicated development resource there may be for Xerte.

Thanks again
