Publishing options - restricting access a été créé par Wullie
Hi,

When publishing my object, is it possible to restrict the Other access setting to just the domain (e.g. vle.xxx.ac.uk) rather than a full URL?

Thanks

Hi
what exactly are you trying to achieve?
At the moment you do need to put the https:// and/or http:// e.g. you can't just add vle.xxx.ac.uk or //vle.xxx.ac.uk and if you wanted both https and http to work you would have to add https://vle.xxx.ac.uk,http://vle.xxx.ac.uk however if what yourasking is that you would to have the lo linked or embedded from something like vle.xxx.ac.uk/course/?id=3 then the following would apply:

1. If you have the other value set to vle.xxx.ac.uk/course/?id=3 then only when viewed from that particular course would the LO display.
2. If you set the other value to vle.xxx.ac.uk/course/ then the LO would display from any course
3. If you set the other value to vle.xxx.ac.uk/ the the lo would display from anywhere in the vle

However if you're using a VLE and your concerned about restricting access then you might want to consider using LTI instead or exporting and importing into the VLE.
