Changing Creator Access

Hello.

Is there a way to change or share the Creator access with Xerte projects? For example if a colleague is leaving or has already left and I wanted to make someone else the creator, how could I do this?

We have experienced the problem that when someone creates a project and uses some bespoke CSS/HTML code that links media content to their Xerte user name, when they left and their account was deactivated the media items disappeared. This meant we had to manually change the user name on the the media links to a current user name.

I'm trying to find a solution to this problem or a way we can prevent it happening in the future.

yes there is a way to change 'ownership' of one or more projects via the management area. However this needs to be used with extreme caution especially where custom code and links to media have been used in a way that causes the problem you describe. Also your production server is still 3.11 and there is a known bug with some of the management functionality that is fixed in 3.12x. Your test server has been upgraded to 3.12x and is currently being tested. I'm aware of the history of some of that as I look after the Cardiff installations. I suggest you contact the internal team with details and they may or may not seek my support.
