Recording of text entry

I would like clarification on what happens to text entries within interactive pages. For example, if I write my answers to questions built via the Modify Exercise interactivity page, does the text get saved somewhere?
I set the learning object with SCORM tracking mode 'on' (Full tracking of last pass), uploaded it into Blackboard but when I check on the Grade Centre area of Blackboard nothing is recorded. Apart from the usual statistical records, of course.

Am I correct in thinking that Xerte will not keep records of what is entered in all its interactive pages?

Hi Joe,

Yes you are right that Xerte does not keep track of your text entries since this data cannot be recorded by Scorm however with Tracking enabled then the Quiz and MCQ pages record scores to send to Scorm compliant player in a VLE.

We do have plans however to record progression through the LO and either present this on a 'results' page or dispatch it via xAPI to a LRS but that is a future development.

We're acitively working on tracking all the interactivity pages through SCORM (and later through xAPI as well).
