Embedding online toolkit content to bootstrap

Hi, I have seen within the release notes of the newest version of Xerte it is possible to embed a learning object created with the online toolkits template into my content created using the bootstrap template. here is a link to an example of what I mean:

I was wondering what the simplest way to do this would be? I tried to create a canvas and link the XOT LO in and I also searched for a built in feature where the LO can be uploaded as media and embedded like you would a video but couldn't manage to solve the problem.

Also would this be possible on a local install or only with a server install?

I would appreciate any help anyone can give me regarding this as I cannot find a solution anywhere online

Which version of Xerte Online Toolkits are you using?

If 2.1: just add a text item, and paste the embed code

If 3.0-beta, add a text item, switch the editor to source mode, and paste the embed code.

It depends a bit what you mean with local, if you mean, just double-clicking in the htm file after unzipping the export file, no, that will probably not work.

However I did just follow the link I posted using my mobile then my tablet and noticed the Xerte Learning Object is not visible on these devices. Is it the case that embedded LO's aren't responsive like the other features of the bootstrap template?

They are not as responsive, but they certainly should be visible. If you just use the embed code, the server with the LO (the server to which the embed code is pointing) should be reachable by your phone as well.
