Video - help please!

Not seeing any error message in the forum post there - may have been stripped out.

Yeah not sure Ron - uploaded twice. Basically when I try to preview in the author tool I get an error saying 'you must select media' even though the file has uploaded?

How big are the video files - file size (MB) rather than dimensions?
What browser are you using?
If you look at the lo properties and media & quota are the video files showing? I suspect they aren't getting uploaded.
This sounds like it's either that the files are too large because of PHP upload limits or it might be older code which has changed since the version you are using.
I know it must be frustrating but it should work and there will be a solution.

Thank you - I was thinking this too. I cannot find the files in the media menu in properties. Files range from about 4.5MB to 6.5MB - guessing this is too large. What is the limit?

The limit is controlled by php server settings not xerte but those files don't sound very large and if the server is still at the php default of 2MB I would have thought this would have cropped up long ago for your other colleagues.
Try uploading one of the files via media & quota instead - does that upload the file successfully?
If it does I suspect your install does need to be updated.

I also had this issue with the MP4 & Flv Video. Converted the Video with FLV player to Mp4 with H.264 encoding.

This works a treat. And the file size is about half the original file.
