Hi All,
I may have been dreaming but I thought I read somewhere on here that in Xerte V3 a specific URL will create a printable view of a Xerte LO. Can anybody point me to that information, can't seem to find it anywhere.
Kind regards,
Karl

You weren't dreaming! I/we added this to the v3 code so it's in v3 and 3.1 downloads but not 2.x downloads.
Just visit your install/print in your case atcourse.org/xerte2-1/print/

Only works with the main xot template.

Hi Ron,
I can't seem to get that working. I realize it's still in development but I'm wondering if it's an issue with my site setup. Keep getting an error 404, even with your demo. I've checked and made sure all tesrs are public and are using the original templates. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Karl
yes sorry I discovered previously that one of the other Xerte developers had changed the code slightly and in doing so broke the functionality :-( Unfortunately I had yet found time to discuss that because the changes were probably part of further developments.

The fix for now is to edit /print/index.php and change the form action around line 35 to point to print.php not scroll.php. e.g.

change
<form id="form1" name="form1" method="get" action="scroll.php">
to
<form id="form1" name="form1" method="get" action="print.php">

That will fix it and get it working for now.

Great, thanks Ron. I'll change that now. While I have your attention :) my plan was to put a link ("print view" or something) on our moodle above where I have the Xerte embedded. Give people the option of printing but I also thought it might provide a better option for viewing on a small screen device. What do you think? It should work if I link to the URL this generates, shouldn't it?

BTW that worked a treat. Thanks
