Unable to import image into interactive diagram

Hello,
There is no possibility to import image (png, jpg) into interactive diagram editor in v.3.0
It works in 2.1 (although only in Chromium - the FF doesn't import it).
I have added image/jpeg type to the array because mimetype has been not recognized.
Debug now shows that mimetype is ok.
It is possible to import it into properties/media, but not the editor.
I've checked stable and develop version but there is no change.
System:
Ubuntu 14.04.3
PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.11 (cli) (built: Jul 2 2015 15:23:08)
apache2.2

I'd really would like to install the newest version ... the HTML5 is very nice.
