Hello,

I am trying to create a project that I want to export (as SCORM 1.2) for use in Microsoft Community Training, but doing so results in an empty zip file. I saw a different forum post that said the useable zips were in USER-FILES, but those are unzipped for me and zipping them manually and trying to import them back into either Xerte or Microsoft Community Training results in an error. I have Xerte locally hosted using XAMPP with default settings. I also used default settings during the setup of Xerte. Maybe something went wrong there? My school also hosts Xerte and exporting through them does result in a working zip in both Xerte and Microsoft Community Training, whereas my locally hosted exports do not, those are empty. (I can't just use Xerte through my school as this project is not school related.)

Help would be appreciated.

Hi
did you publish before exporting? Export uses the published version of the xml so if you haven't published the exported zip will not work.
When you click export on a published project it should prompt you to save the zip somewhere it does not go into USER-FILES. Depending on browser/settings it might not prompt and just automatically save to your default folder which on Windows is usually downloads.
To import back into Xerte you need the exported zip as it came from Xerte.

Hello,

I did publish before exporting, but it still doesn't work.
The fact that it does work through my school, but not using my locally hosted version even though I'm doing the exact same thing, makes me think it has something to do with either my setup of XAMPP or Xerte.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever work out the solution to this? New user, installed locally - exact same issue. Thanks.

For what it is worth, I switched away from using XAMPP and used WampServer instead. This has resolved the issue.
