XOT objects loading slowly in Bootstrap

I'm creating a Bootstrap website that includes a number of embedded XOT objects and when previewed there's quite a delay in the objects loading - is this normal? Is there a way to improve loading times?

I still get the same problem when viewing a bootstrap website with embedded XOT objects - the objects load really slowly. It looks like it's waiting for MathsJax scripts to run. Is there any way to turn these off for my project?

When you say previewed do you mean when pressing play when authoring so viewing via preview.php or is there also a delay with the public link e.g. play.php? How long is the delay? Can you share a link to an example?

By 'preview' I meant when clicking the object play button whilst I was working on the project. But the same issue happens when the object is published and I view from it's URL.

I've attached a screenshot which shows the bootstrap page loading - but the gap is where two XOT obects are embedded, but they don't show up straight away. Instead I see the text that suggests the page is waiting for MathJax to be uploaded. The objects then slowly start to appear.

This happens for all the XOT object I have embedded (video/quiz/slideshow/audio) - which means there's a few seconds wait everytime you view a new section.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but one of our librarians is having this problem, although it's specific to mobile devices. Did you ever find out what was causing this?
