Hi,
I'm new to Xerte and I'm testing the xertetoolkits_update_2.1 Version:2.1.
I would like to use it in an e-learning project with moodle in my company (Public Hospitals).
I installed it in my personal server and when I go to xerte homepage I always access as guest and cannot logout (Always remain as guest).
I tried to go to setup page but I receive this message:
Welcome to the Xerte Online Toolkits Installer
You appear to have already installed toolkits
Please go to Xerte Online Toolkits Install

Clicking on the go to Xerte Online Toolkits Install I go back to xerte homepage page as guest.
Why there's no login page to access to Xerte?
Thank you.

Stefano

PS: here's the link to my xerte: www.stefano.guglielmetti.name/moodle/xerte/
Thank you!

There is a file called auth_config.pho in the rot folder of the installation. There you can configure your authentication method. You can choose moodle authentication or db authentication. Please re-read the installation manual about authentication.

If you've chosen an authentication method we can help you further to implement out properly.

Reading Installation/Configuration in guide I made first 1 changing 'Guest' and also 3 step was easy to understand to me but I'm don't understand what to do with step 2:
I understand that I need to add the path; but I don't understand exactly where...

My moodle url:http://www.stefano.guglielmetti.name/moodle
My xerte 2.1 url:http://www.stefano.guglielmetti.name/moodle/xerte/

Have you read the file named moodle_integration_readme.txt inside the documentation folder? e.g.

Step 2.
Either by using the management page or by editing sitedetails in the database add the path to your moodle installation to the integration config path field
e.g. this might be something like the following:
/home/youraccountname/public_html/config.php
or
/home/youraccountname/public_html/moodle/config.php

This is a directory path not a URL but you should be able to get the correct path either via your ftp client if that's how you upload and access files or via the control panel file manager. Just browse to the moodle config.php file and look at the path to that and use that as the integration path in Xerte.

Ok Ron I finally get it working...
The problem was that the correct path was different from that one in config.php (moodle) and in FTP.
Now is perfectly working.
Thank you
