I get the error Message below

Sorry, the attempt to create the database to the database has failed. MySQL reports the following error
1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-xerte21' at line 1
Creating MySQL Database Failed!

It's likely to be database or directory permissions.
Make sure the setup and root directories are writeable during setup so that database.php get's written in the root directory.
If you're not using the MySQL root user during set up make sure the user you are entering has adequate permissions to create the database or create the database and user first then run setup.
