Found out, it was a failing mysql.
I have decided to install a new version of xot. But now after it makes a database in the install procedures it can't proceed because the username/password isn't oke. I don't understand, first it uses the inlogname/password to produce database and tables and then the inlogname and or password are not oke?
Hmmm..........

Setup first asks for a username/password with create rights to create the database, than it asks for username/passeord to be used (possibly without create rights). By default the credentials of the first username/password are already filled in.

You can edit database.php to fix the username/password.

After installing XOT 3.11 I want to use management.php. All icons now respond with "the feature is for administrators only". I was able to log into management.php though. Only when I set the authentication method to "guest" does it work properly. How do I fix this?

Thanks
Manuel

Normally, it's better to create a new topic instead of latching on an old topic.

I don't understand what exactly the issue is. You can login in management.php? And work with it?

The authentication method should have no effect on the management.php page whatsoever. Only on the main installation. If you choose any other authentication method than guest you either need to set up the authentication method (like Saml2, LDAp, etc) or when you choose Db, you need to create some user accounts in the management.php page.

The admin account does NOT work on the main Xerte website. Only on the management.php page.

Hi Tom, thanks for the quick reply. The problem has since been solved and I have access to all the admin menus. I don't know why, but restarting all my open browsers solved my problems.
Kind regards, Manuel
