I don't know if I understood well, but I created a database with cpanel then I added a user with full priviledges on it.
I use these credentials when promped but It doesnt' allow me to go further with the mysql account.

I'm afraid although we offer free support via these forums (if and when we have time) that doesn't extend to direct support for free. I'd be happy to arrange a Zoom or Skype call to look at and hopefully resolve your issues but I'm afraid direct support like that would be chargeable.

You might want to seek support from your hosting provider and give them the details you are entering as database credentials. I suspect something is not correct there. One thing you could try is to access your phpmyadmin link directly, then click logout if already logged in and then use the separate credentials you have used for the xerte database. If you can login that way then something else is wrong but if you can't login that way then you know the problem you have to resolve first before continuing with Xerte.

Hi Ron, sorry if my request was violating terms of the forum.
Please forgive me.
I was detecting all the possible solutions for a problem that seems so stupid since everything is working properly in local.
Xerte works fine and I'd love to get more expert in this for teaching, not to be a php admin, or server admin. This IT stuff should not be an issue.
Anyway I will follow your tips and keep on working. The focus for me is to be able to create interactive and strong LO and have them available home and office that's why I want an online installation.
I used Xerte 5-6 years ago, and I thought that It was becoming unused and obsolete. I appreciate the fact that it is still under developement and maintened.

you're not violating any terms and someone else might offer to Skype and help you out for free but I'm afraid I can't do that for free as it wouldn't be fair on those who pay me directly to look after their Xerte installations and provide support and development etc.
There will be something very simple that is wrong so get your hosting provider to advise.

Good news it seems to be working !
I had to insert the entire server name address.
i.e. xxx-xxx-supercp.com

I create the admin user and the standard user.
