Most of you will be aware of the changes to JISC and in particular JISC Techdis, "The Xerte Online Toolkit is still available for organisations from the University of Nottingham. However, due to the Jisc restructure, TechDis have no option but to close the Xerte Sandpit on 1 December 2014." JISC Techdis changes

My problem is my institution have not given the go ahead for an institutional installation this academic year but I have academics who want to use Xerte with their students from January 2015. I need to find a solution that doesn't involve requesting students download XOT onto their pc's or laptops, managing that would be a nightmare.

I seem to remember reading something about running XOT from a pen drive (perhaps I'm wrong), is that possible? That would be a workaround.

thanks
Alison
If you can use Lego, you can use Xerte
