A few questions... just wondering if anyone knows what the most recent progress is on the MS SQL database abstraction layer is? Tom had mentioned recently that is was close but still lacked on important element.

Is anyone currently making any changes to the XOT quiz engine? We'd like to see randomized answer distractors in there, and the ability to add audio to the questions/answers. I'm reluctant to start fiddling with trying to do this here if someone is still working on the quiz, or if these features might be on the list.

The bootstrap template - same questions basically - is anyone actively working on this or are things on hold until the move to the new owner? We'd really like to see a basic quiz in the bootstrap template.

Thanks

Unsure about the db stuff. I don't think anyone is looking at the quiz, so if you figure it out, let us have the changes, it shouldn't be hard to do. I don't intend adding anything to bootstrap for quizzes: you can embed a normal learning object to do that for you in the page,

Hello Julian:

Thanks, but can you explain this: "I don't intend adding anything to bootstrap for quizzes: you can embed a normal learning object to do that for you in the page,"

How would I actually do that? I'm working in XOT 2.1 using the HTML5 templates. I have created a bootstrap course, then created a quiz in XOT. What I have then is two separate LO's. The quiz LO is in a separate USER-FILES directory with its own 'data.xml' and 'preview.xml'. I don't see any way to 'embed' this in the other LO. Do I need to merge the two data.xml files together? What am I missing? Thanks

Hi
You're over complicating this referring to the xml. Just make the LO with the quiz public then copy the embed code from properties and paste that in a text area of the bootstrap template. The trick is to change the width value in the iframe code from 800 to 100% and also set the default LO windows size of the quiz lo to be full screen.
