Xerte Conference 18 November 2026

Here’s a reminder that this year’s online Xerte Conference will be on Wednesday 18 November 2026. 

This is an opportunity for you to;

• talk about the different ways in which you have been using Xerte
• compare your approach to working with Xerte with other users
• hear about projects involving Xerte in other institutions
• learn more about recent developments in Xerte, including the potential to deploy AI and non-AI assistants to create targeted content and save time
• see the brand new (and optional) new user interface, user preferences and built-in guidance
• network with Xerte users who share similar interests or work in similar contexts.

The conference will run from 9.30 to 16.30 UK time, and there will be a range of presentations and workshops for you to choose from. There is no fee to attend the conference.

Back in January we launched the first version of Xerte with AI-assisted options (3.15) , and later in the year we’ll be presenting a brand new more modern user interface which is also aimed at providing more support for authors.  If you’re already using the new AI features, the conference is an opportunity to share experiences. If you’re not yet using them, the conference will help you decide whether or not to take the plunge! Just to make it clear, 3.15 has new features unrelated to AI, and if you are an administrator, you can upgrade to 3.15 without having to make the AI features available to your users.

We will also ensure that AI does not totally dominate the conference! There has always been a wide range of themes at previous conferences. In 2024, for example , there were sessions on Xerte in relation to escape rooms, developing institutional templates, learning analytics, inclusive practices, virtual and augmented reality, and open educational resources.  The conference is an excellent opportunity to network with Xerte enthusiasts who share any specific interests you may have.
