Making dowload Xerte (copy) work locally.
I want to download Xerte from my website to local and also be able to work with the site locally using Apache.
But if the site downloads in its entirety to htdocs/xerte2/, you will be asked to run the installation again and the learning objects in the USER-FILES section are not present in Xerte, but they are in the USER-FILES folder, for example 7-guest2-Nottingham.
Is there a way to get the download to work properly? New learning objects can then be further exchanged via export-import. The download is then also a backup.

Hi Ronald,

You need to copy the database as well. So you would need to make a copy of the database on your server, and restore it to the mysql on your local PC (I assume this is XAMPP).

Then you need to change the database.php file on your copy to point to your local database, and you need to change the paths in your sitedetails table to match the paths of your local install.

So it is a bit more involved than simply copying the files.
