I wondered if there's anyway to use the "multiple perspectives" page within the tabbed navigator+?

I have an existing learning resource that needs converting from HTML so the content is fixed and there is no option for changing the text/images.

It has sub-menus/nested pages which would work well with the tabbed navigator+

These pages use a main image with about 7 or so thumbnail images below the main image, which would work well using the 'multiple perspectives' page.

Is there anyway to combine the two?

The only alternative I've come up with is to edit the HTML source code on the nested page in the tabbed navigator to add in <img> and size them accordingly as thumbnails below a main image - but this loses some of the 'multiple perspectives' functionality of flicking between the different images.

Any thoughts gratefully received!

Hi
There isn't any way to insert one page type into another page type. However one possibility is to create what you want as multiple perspectives content as a separate LO, use the optional properties to hide the header and footer, then make that LO public and embed it into the relevant tabbed navigator + page. That may or may not work for what you need. Try it with one and see. If you need more that one multiple perspectives page you can use the same LO just turn resuming on and then add #resume=x to the embed code. You'll be able to set the width in the embed code to 100% but you can't set the height to 100%. So you'll have to leave the default fixed height or use script to set the height dynamically.

Hi Ron

Thank you for your message, that's very helpful indeed, and thank you for the very speedy reply! I've realised "slide show" will work better to be embedded in the "tabbed navigator" but can't get the embedded slideshow to fit in the tab screen elegantly - it either doesn't fit at all or the text is very small (as per screen shots) - do you, or anyone, have any thoughts on what I'm missing? Have done lots of playing around with Fixed Display Size, display mode etc, nothing seems to resolve...

Many thanks indeed,

Amy

Hi Amy
I'm not seeing a screenshot?
Can you create a test LO with just the page you can't get to work and then share a link to that?

Try adding a height value to the iframe e.g.
<iframe frameborder="0" height="500px" scrolling="yes" src="https://xerte.ucreative.ac.uk/play.php?template_id=87" width="100%">
  </iframe>
I would be inclined to set the theme of the LO containing the slideshow to flat white and to set the image to aligned right of the text rather than above the text.
