Hi Xerte Community,
Is it possible to have a Xerte LD as a file within an Articulate package?

Setting a Xerte LO to 'Public' provides the URL which is inserted into Articulate.

But, is there another way of including a Xerte LO in an Articulate package?
Eg, 'Offline' Xerte LO uploaded as a file in Articulate as an asset?

Don't worry if not, I just thought I would ask.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Anne

Hi Anne,

It was good to see you yesterday. What version of Articulate are you using?

Hi Helen,
It was nice to see you too at the Xerte Conference.
I used Articulate 360 and the Xerte URL sits in it. And I would rather it be a file which plays inside Articulate.
I'm not sure if this is possible.
Tom verbally replied a way to do this. Please can you repeat what you said Tom?
I will be getting Storyline 3 shortly, but 360 and Storyline 3 are similar.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

Was it by using the embed code?

When you are on the main workspace area in Xerte, if you select the project that you want to include in the Articulate object, on the right hand pane, there should be a link and some embed code. You need to copy and paste this code.

Hi Helen,
Yes I copied the embed code from Xerte and pasted into Articulate. It works fine, but I just wondered if there is another way of displaying Xerte content in another E-Learning software, such as Articulate.
Because I am worried that if for some reason, my Xerte LO is deleted, obviously the embed code will be a dead link, and therefore the result when playing the Articulate package will be a dead link.

I was hoping I could import the Xerte content into Articulate (like I can for a PDF for example) so that the LO becomes part of the Articulate e-learning package.

Tom mentioned something to me at the Xerte Conference that I could try, so Tom would you be able to remind me what you said (I have forgotten),

I hope my question makes sense. Thank you in advance for comments.
Best wishes. Anne
