Could someone provide more information about XerteTrans. I previously looked at this but lost the notes I took at the time.

Q. Is XerteTrans an add-on or separate install to the existing Xerte Online Toolkits installation?

Q. From what I remember its the page templates that are translated into another language and not the content, is that correct?

Q. Anyone got some good examples of XerteTrans learning objects?

thanking you in advance
Alison

I'm sure Tom will reply in due course but a few quick responses...

1. No Xerte trans is a central service for collaborative creation and maintenance of language packs for Xerte Online Toolkits. The language packs are then downloadable from this site via the downloads area.

2. Its the workspace and interface etc that are part of the language packs not the content.

3. There's no such thing. There are learning objects that have been manually translated or automatically translated via browser language detection or additional code added to the LO but XerteTrans isn't a tool that helps with translating content.

4. If you would like to contribute to creation/maintenance of a language pack via XerteTrans I'm sure Tom will be happy to set you up with an account.
