We are just beginning our roll out of Xerte and would like to disable certain tools that are available to our faculty during the initial roll out. Is this possible and where would that be done in the code. Thanks in advance.

That depends on what you want to limit. If you want certain pages not showing in the main 'Xerte Online Toolkit'template, then you can edit the

modules/xerte/parent_templates/Nottingham/wizards/en-GB/data.xwd and remoave the unwanted pages within the <newNodes> section of the learningObject

Tom,
I didn't do a great job of describing what I'm trying to do. Would what you described allow me to for example, to remove the Decision Tree option from the Interactivity menu? I'm looking to adjust the options shown under "Text", "Media", "Navigators"....
Thanks

Yes. So taking your example:

1. Retrieve data.xwd from your installation (see path in my first reply) and make a backup!
2. This is an xml file, load it in a xml editor, or text editor:

3. In the node 'Learning Object', find the node 'newNodes'

4. In there, find the 'decision' node, and remove it:

5. Save the file, and put it back in your installation.
