Hi I have a local installation of Xerte running under Xampp on my laptop, I have been trying to see where I can add a logo to the header bar in one of the 6 available themes. I have tried editing the files in the folder Xampp/htdocs/xertetoolkits/themes/Nottingham as the css files there say to change them to customise the style sheet. But none of then changes I have tried seem to have any effect. I've also tried copying the css file from one theme to another but it is not having any effect.

Any suggestions about where i need to put the code to insert my logo (for our local dive club which is not a commercial organisation)and where I should put the image file will b gratefully receeved.

If you just want a logo in the header of a learning object try adding the icon optional property and adding a logo that way. Eg edit an lo, select the learning object icon, open the optional properties, add the icon option and browse to upload your logo.

If you want more than that option provides then editing a particular themes CSS file and placing your logo in that folder should work fine.

Thanks Ron, very helpful.

I've used the add icon, just trying to right align it.

I tried editing the style sheets but the ones I found in Xampp/htdocs/xertetoolkits/themes/Nottingham didn't seem to have any effect. Do you know if I looking in the right place or are they somewhere else?

The default theme isn't in the themes folder but all the others are.
Alternatively use the browser developer tools to inspect and locate the appropriate bit of the CSS and then create a custom CSS file and upload that via the stylesheet optional property.
