LaTeX preamble was created by nwalet

I can't seem to find this--is it possible to define a LaTeX preamble for a document, so that we can add or change certain commands for the whole document?
Clearly, jsmath will allow this, but does this fit with the way xerte is run? I would be nice to redefine a vector as a bold symbol, or even define a few of my own macros.
