Hi,
if I set profile field xot in moodle and a moodle user hasn't xot checked, he has no access to view a xerte LO.
So he has no access to authoring tool and can't see any learnng object created with xerte.
Is that right?
Thanks

Hi
no that's not quite correct.
Firstly and obviously you must have Moodle authentication set in auth_config.php and working correctly. When a user then logs in they will only see their own workspace and any Xerte LO's they created.
Then yes you can create a custom profile field in Moodle and uncomment the section of code in auth_config.php to prevent access to the authoring workspace to anyone who doesn't have that profile field checked. Once enabled you need to test that thoroughly with different users and browsers etc to ensure that it's working as it should and doesn't prevent someone who should have access from gaining access.
However viewing learning objects that others have created is still possible if the author has made those LO's public and shared the public link or embed code etc.
