Good morning!
I'm having a new issue with my display of the Xerte template LO display, Bootstrap template seems fine so far.
When I create a Xerte template LO on preview, the black header and footer bars are missing from view. They will flash when first loading the page then disappear, the created info appears fine. I have tried IEv10, Chrome and Firefox, all the same.
Don't know where to look, any suggestions?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

the first thing that i would do is open the LO in chrome and clear my cache.

Then press F12 to open the developer tools and go to console.

Lastly reload (F5) the LO and see if any console errors are produced...

If still not working and LO can be reachable on the web, make it public and post a link and i'll take a look.

Hi Mark,

Did you have any joy making the LO load properly?

Hi John,
Thanks for keeping up with this! I did try what you suggested. Using the Chrome developer display I show no errors. I set up a user account for you to try. I'd like to send the login info to you PM.

Hi Mark,

I think that you must have been viewing the Dev mode under the Workspace which was only watching the workspace as when I opened the preview window and pressed F12 (a new dev window opens) and went to Console I got this error:

geovisit is not defined

From this I can assume that you are using Yahoo! hosting and I'm pretty sure that geovisit is their visit tracking service that is so named as it is a remnant from their Geocities webhosting venture, now defunct...

I think turning off site stats in your Yahoo control panel will sort this, however if you need this on for other sites co-hosted there then you might have a problem...

Let me know is that makes the bars show again...

Hi John,
Thanks for the joy! You understand Yahoo better than they do! After spending quite some time with Yahoo tech support they assured me my site tracking WAS off and they saw no errors in their logs. I was on my own. I hope this information will help someone else resolve this issue if they need it.

Heres how I got it to work:
From the Web Hosting Control Panel under the "Home" tab, at the bottom of the Site Traffic graph I clicked on the "Detailed Statistics" link which took me to the Site Statistics page. On the Site Statistics title bar to the right you'll see "[Help - Options] I clicked on "Options" which took me to the options page (naturally?)
I was able to get the LO to work by selecting the following options:

Activate Sharing
Use this page to give others permission to view your site statistics. Tips for making your site
statistics public.
(X)Do not allow anyone to view my site statistics
Allow anyone to view my site statistics

Collect Statistical Data For My Site
You have the option to stop having statistical data collected for your site.
Note: This will also disable counters. Help on turning off Site Statistics data collection.
(X) Do not collect statistical data for my site (turn off site statistics)
Collect statistical data for my site (turn on site statistics)

Thanks again for your excellent support!!!
