Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with a Bootstrap template project where the base URL automatically redirects to a specific page anchor (#communication) rather than loading the homepage.

Project details:

Template: Bootstrap
URL behaviour: xerte.cardiff.ac.uk/play_18321 redirects to xerte.cardiff.ac.uk/play_18321#communication
Expected behaviour: Should load the first page/homepage

What I've already checked:

- Page structure - homepage is correctly set as the first page in the hierarchy
- Project properties - no default page settings that would cause this
- Browser cache - tested in multiple browsers and incognito mode with the same result
- Navigation settings - all appear to be configured correctly

The redirect happens consistently for all users.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Nan
I think this is the same project as you mentioned previously with the scrolling issue and when I looked I think I mentioned about the hyphen in the module-setup page id. I would still suggest changing that because the page id's are not meant to have any special characters.

I can see that if you use xerte.cardiff.ac.uk/play_18321#UltraEssentials as the link that does go to the homepage but if you use xerte.cardiff.ac.uk/play_18321#page1 that goes to the communication page just like if you visited xerte.cardiff.ac.uk/play_18321 without any page reference. It seems likely that there is a custom page id causing a problem which could be as simple as removing the hyphen?

Try making a copy of the project and remove the page id's e.g. look for any identical ID's in pages and sections. If that doesn't work share the copy and this original with my account and I'll have a look.
