We installed XAMPP and the Xerte toolkit files version 3.9 along with the update. We ran the installer, accepting all defaults (page 3) with exception to setting an authentication method of 'Db'. After clicking save we get the following message:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_magic_quotes_gpc() in C:\XAMPP\htdocs\xertetoolkits\setup\page4.php:28 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in C:\XAMPP\htdocs\xertetoolkits\setup\page4.php on line 28

Any ideas to get around this? Could this be a bug with the 3.9 update?

tom Offline Administrator Posts: 1284 Thank you received: 324	Hi, The latest XAMPP uses PHP 8.X. Xerte is not yet compatible with PHP 8. So, please install the latest XAMPP with PHP 7.4.X and all should be fine. The following user(s) said Thank You: matthew.fillo@ottawa.edu
