Hiya,

Has anyone else experienced issues with missing bootstrap banners when using Microsoft Edge? I've tested this on two Windows 10 laptops and its consistent in leaving a white space where the banner image should be.Displays as expected in Firefox and Chrome.

Windows 10 is being rolled out across our campus so I'd like to know if this is a known issue, bug awaiting a fix or just tell people to not use MS Edge.

Thanks
Alison

Hi Alison
do you have a public link to a project where this isn't working?

Does our conference resource work for you? xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=80
The above works fine for me in Edge.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for responding. I've just checked with my Windows 10 user and he can see the banner in the link you provided.I'll email the link to you if that's okay.

thanks,
Alison

Hi Alison
thanks for the link to the project.
The first thing to say (but probably not the cause) is that banner background image really needs cropping. It's currently 3060px x 2040px and really only needs to be max 700px high and in terms of width you could stick with 3060 but 1920px or at most 2560px should suffice. I think the max width of high end monitors currently is 3840px but that would be a small minority of users.

I see that you are using v3.6 and the example I sent you is from a Xerte X installation. I'll see if I can test with a 3.6 install but can't right now and it looks like whatever the issue is is fixed in Xerte X.
