I have created a word search task but when I press the solve button it is random and does not fully identify the words (see attachment)

Hi

It looks ok to me, by which I mean all the letters with purple background are in the words you specified. It took me a while to find them all but if you look at the attached file you can see that all the words are there. Note that words can read from right to left and bottom to top.

The only glitch I could see is that the bottom two rows of letters are separated from the ones above by a white gap, which admittedly makes it more of a challenge. Maybe one of the Xerte developers can shed some light on that aspect?

I believe you may be a member of staff at UWE. If so, please feel free to contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you need any further help on this.

Best

I'm not sure its correct - for example the word compelling is highlighted in purple but the whole word highlighted is compellinr (with an r on the end). The r is not attached to anything. Profile has a t at the beginning. I don't know if I'm reading this incorrectly

This is similar in other words

The R after COMPELLING is the final letter R of the word DIRECTOR.
The T before PROFILE is the letter T in DIRECTOR.

No problem. I was stumped at first, too. It's actually quite a difficult exercise!
