Chapters DRAFT

Chapters provide a means for a large learning object to be divided into small units, in the same way that chapters function for a printed book. They are added from the drop-down menu that you use to add pages to a project. Pages can be added within chapters, and can also be dragged from one chapter to another in the Project Tree.

Chapters can also be set as markers in the Progress Bar, so that learners can see which chapters they have completed. This is useful when they are completing a learning object over several sessions, or are using the learning object as a resource to refer back to. Learners can also move from chapter to chapter using either the Progress Bar or the Table of Contents.

Screenshot

This screenshot shows a learning object with three chapters, with the Table of Contents in a lightbox. Normally learners would not use both the Progress Bar and the Table of Contents to navigate through a learning object. The learner is looking at the 3rd page of Chapter 1.
