Interactivity > Audio Recorder

A page that allows the learner to make, save, listen to and download audio recordings, in response to a text or audio stimulus. This enables learners to make recordings for later reference, or for upload into a portfolio. Language learners can also compare their own pronunciation to a model. Several recordings (audio clips) can be made on the same page.

Example demo

Note: the Audio Recorder requires browser microphone permissions which cannot be displayed in this embedded example. To demo the full functionality, view the example page at Xerte Page Types > Interactivity: Audio Recorder (opens in new tab).

Audio Example: Show Example {Initially/After Feedback} Drop-down If you want to model pronunciation for learners to imitate it makes sense to choose Initially (even if you would prefer learners to try out their pronunciation before listening to the model), because this empowers the learner. They don't have to listen to the model even if it is available.
