Secure server access

Hi, we have xerte installled on a server which can only be accessed on campus. Digital services have confirmed they could give staff access remotely remotely, with secure access through the Office 365 interface. Is this a solutions others in the community use? I think this should work as staff just need to be able to login off campus as well as on campus so they can develop their resources. Any advice on this would be much appreciated. Thank you. Aideen.
