Setup Installation Loop

Hi, I have installed this on my website, but when I go to visit the site, it wants to rerun setup again right after I did the install. I deleted the setup folder as the final step says to do, however it still wants to re-run setup right after I set it up

Most of the time, there is something wrong with your database credentials.

Please check the contents of database.php and verify that the credentials are correct.

hello, I have verified the database appears to be intact, and verified the database connection information is correct as well. any other ideas as to why it may not be working?

I have even deleted the database and all files in the folder for xerte and re-ran the installer a few times and I still get caught in the reinstall loop.

also when I try to go to the management interface, I am unable to log in with the account I created.

That's weird. This really only happens when the database cannot be opned.

Try to set $development to true on line 43 of config.php, and try again. Then see if you can find any tel-tale error in error-logs/debug.log or in the apache php error log.
